भारत विरुद्ध वेस्ट इंडिज दुसरा एकदिवसीय सामनाही भारताने जिंकला आहे. भारतीय संघ २-०  अशा आघाडीवर आहे. या विजयासह त्यांनी मालिकाही खिशात घातली आहे. या याच विजयासह भारताने पाकिस्तानच्या रेकॉर्डशी बरोबरी केली आहे. 

वेस्ट इंडिज ने टॉस जिंकून गोलंदाजी करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला होता. भारतीय संघाने ९ फलंदाजाच्या बदल्यात २३७ धावा केल्या. वेस्ट इंडिजला सामना जिंकण्यासाठी २३८ धावांची गरज होती, मात्र भारतीय गोलंदाजांच्या भेदक माऱ्यासमोर वेस्ट इंडिज फलंदाजांचा निभाव लागला नाही. वेस्ट इंडिजचा संघ १९३ धावावर गारद झाला. 

कर्णधार रोहित शर्मा आणि ऋषभ पंत या सलामी जोडीला लवकरच वेस्ट इंडीज संघाने माघारी पाठवले. त्यानंतर विराट कोहलीला ही फारशी  धावसंख्या उभारता आली नाही. त्यानंतर के एल राहुल आणि सूर्यकुमार यादवने भारतीय संघाचा डाव सावरला. सूर्यकुमार यादवने ६४ धावा तर के एल राहुलने ४९ धावा केल्या. वेस्ट इंडिजकडून अल्झारी जोसेफ आणि ओडियन स्मिथ यांनी प्रत्येकी २-२ विकेट घेतल्या तर केमार रोच, होल्डर, हुसैन आणि ऍलन यांनी प्रत्येकी १-१  विकेट घेतल्या.

वेस्ट इंडीजसाठी शमारह ब्रुक्सने ४४ धावा, शाई होप २७  धावा , ओडीयन स्मिथ ३७ धावा तर होसेईनने ३४ धावा केल्या. वेस्ट इंडिजच्या इतर कोणत्याही खेळाडूला मोठी कामगिरी करता आली नाही. या सामन्यात प्रसिद्ध कृष्णाने जबरदस्त कामगिरी केली. त्याने ९ ओव्हरमध्ये केवळ १२ धावांच्या बदल्यात ४ विकेट घेतल्या. शार्दुल ठाकूरने ४२ धावा देत २  विकेट घेतल्या. तर वॉशिंग्टन सुंदर, युझवेंद्र चहल आणि दिपक हुड्डा यांनी प्रत्येकी १-१ विकेट घेतल्या. या सामन्यात दीपक हुड्डा याने त्याच्या कारकीर्दीतील पहिली विकेट घेतली.

वेस्ट इंडिज विरुद्ध भारताने सलग ११ एकदिवसीय मालिका जिंकल्या आहेत. भारताने २००७ पासून ते २०२२पर्यंत एकही दिवसीय सामना हरला नाही. याच विजयासह भारताने पाकिस्तानच्या रेकॉर्डशी बरोबरी केली आहे. पाकिस्तानने १९९७ ते २०२१ दरम्यान झिंबाब्वेविरुद्ध सलग ११  एकदिवसिय मालिका जिंकल्या होत्या.
